This is just a really quick post that I’ve been meaning to write for a while – professional bakers use proper scrapers (hey that rhymes!) but if you just want to have a play about with dough in the kitchen, I recommend recycling an old plastic lid – e.g. like one from a take-away food carton, cutting round the inside of the rim and then using it to mix or scrape when your dough becomes a bit unruly – which, speaking as a master-kitchen/baker-mess-abouter, happens fairly regularly..
